Headphone Commute reviewed Red Book EP by Theory

February 3, 2017

Headphone Commute wrote some nice words about the last release by Theory.  “The Red Book EP comes on like a horror soundtrack of industrial sized proportions, both, in its vast atmospheric soundscapes, and the use of the aforementioned percussive elements that slowly stump out their way in a desolate landscape. Impending doom oozes from the treacherous carcasses left to decompose upon cold slabs of concrete, left by the hopeful movement of the Communist party. This is just a quote from the whole review which you can check HERE

Side Line Magazine reviews “Frequencies Of The Mind III” album

February 2, 2017

Side line magazine reviewed the latest instalment in the ongoing Frequencies of the mind compilation series.
The compilation received many good and inspiring reviews in the last few months and
Side Line is no exception.
This quote comes from the review which sums it up pretty nice:

“I always have considered Mindtrick Records as one of the most visionary labels in electronic-underground music. This is the kind of label, which really brings a bonus to the contemporary underground music by having a nose for intelligent and often avant-garde minded electronic bands.”

Santa Sangre reviews Theory`s Red Book EP

January 24, 2017

Santa Sangre wrote a review about the last release by Theory.
Sometimes reviewers really take their time to take in a release and give it their thoughts.
We think he Nailed it! Read the full article HERE

“Theory have managed what entire labels and idiots with their case-logic books failed to achieve then: accessibility and experimentalism without the usual pitfalls of distortion and pandering imagery.

One other feature is that if you found the right kind of club with curators prepared to educate rather than just entertain their crowd then every one of these pieces could pack the floor. Yeah it wouldn’t a conventional kind of night but his programming is such that even the most jaded and snark-prone fashion victim would not be able to resist. How he managed to come up with a lot of the grinding, mechanized drone here is a question yet to be answered but god damn am I glad he did… whatever comes next from Theory is going to easily maintain the quality level, we’ve a talented maestro on our hands who isn’t afraid to experiment with the variables wherever his whims take him.”

Eusebeia returns to Mindtrick Records

January 17, 2017

The first digital release of 2017 is by Eusebeia, the artist who had the track ‘In The Cut‘ released on the “Frequencies Of The Mind III” compilation.
He is now back on Mindtrick Records with the ‘Introversion EP‘ which consists of four tracks written from an introspective point of view, thus making it a particularly personal piece of work.
Eusebeia is known for his releases on labels such as CX:Digital (run by Reza & Loxy) Clear Conceptions and his excellent collaboration with Akuratyde for the BluMarTen label.
The “Introversion EP” has a more down-tempo approach to his sound, but this demonstrates the excellent composition skills he has.
The first two tracks burrow deep into the subconscious, and ascend into the universe within.
The third track ‘Heightened Senses‘ hits the darker tip, where low bass and seemingly alienated sounds form the backbone of this existential excursion.
Eusebeia’s pristine mixing fuses a striking array of audible oddities and emotions, from feelings of isolation and uncertainty, to feelings of oneness and purpose – which makes this both a wondrous and delicate release on Mindtrick Records.
The EP will be released on the 6th of February through our shop, Beatport, Itunes and streaming platforms.

You can check out some snippets below and you can Pre-Order the full EP in our shop.

MTRDIG019 – Eusebeia – Introversion EP

January 12, 2017

Eusebeia, the artist from which we’ve released his track
“In The Cut” earlier on the Frequencies of the Mind III compilation.
He is now back on Mindtrick Records for his “Introversion EP”
Introversion is the means of being more reserved and have more solitary behaviour, this taps in directly to the music on his EP which he actually wrote for himself.
He feels that if he does things from a visceral level and just stick to the path he is on, Then he is doing the will of the universe, and it’s the one thing which keeps him going.
Eusebeia is known for his Drum and Bass releases on labels such as CX Digital
(run by Reza and Loxy) and his single for Clear Conceptions and as well his excellent collaboration with Akuratyde for the BluMarTen label.
The 4 track EP has a more downtempo approach to his sound but still shows the excellent composition skills he has.
The 3rd track “Heightened Senses” hits the darker tip, where low-pitched bass and
alienated samples form the backbone of this existential excursion.
The release has a very deep approach and still maintains a very distinctive style Eusebeia`s pristine mixing fuses a striking array of audible oddities, brutally dark, wondrous and at times even delicate. Thus perfect for a release on Mindtrick Records.

Mindcast#12 – Theory

December 25, 2016

The 12th session of our Mindcast session is by our newest signing Theory hailing from Russia. The mix consists of remixes which Theory made over the years and showcases his hybrid industrial sounding music.

MTRDIG018 – Theory – Red Book EP

December 25, 2016

Theory is one of the pseudonyms of Antuan Graftio which already built up an impressive resume by releasing 32 albums and EP`s since 2005. This Russian native is also involved in noise acts Sacris Tandem and Conjuncture where you might know his music from.
His style can`t be pinpointed to one style but as Theory he operates somewhere between Industrial, Ambient and Electronica. The release on Mindtrick Records is a mini album called “Red Book” and as he stated himself sounds like:
“Depressing monotonous music with philosophical overtones”.

Before the end of 2016 we have one more release you can`t miss!

Agree or disagree but there is something special about his approach and sound which we found very impressive.
And we are more than pleased to welcome him to the roster.

The album will be released just after Christmas of 2016 and will get you through the darker days of the year into 2017!
