they are a part of Utreg Massive. Utreg Massive is a drum & bass, dubstep and breakbeat crew from Utrecht (NL) currently consisting of fourteen DJ’s, promoters, producers and MC’s. Sinister Souls started out as a Drum ‘n Bass duo, combining vinyl, CDJ and Ableton Live; throwing their own productions into the mix. After 6 years of producing tunes, individually and together, they decided to take the next step and send out some of those tunes. Taking on the road of Dubstep for their main focus. The sound has influences taken from Drum ‘n Bass, Downtempo, Breakcore and Tekno. Making an unique sound at a 140bpm tempo. Variation is a key element, no moments of dozing of into endless monotone subs and continues beats. They set out for the noise that makes you want to jump up and put on your bassface. With tracks out on ROTTUN recordings and forthcoming on S.C.U.M., Dub Bullet and Independenza, they are one to watch.
