Frequencies Of The Mind III Out Now!
September 20, 2016
Heading towards our tenth anniversary and 50th release in 2017, Mindtrick Records returns to your mind and ears!
After a year of compiling and listening through loads and loads of tracks the third instalment in the
Frequencies Of The Mind series is finally here!
We proudly present you:
“Most people believe the mind to be a mirror, more or less accurately reflecting the world outside them, not realizing on the contrary that the mind is itself the principal element of creation.”
The new compilation for Mindtrick Records contains 16 original tracks by Mindtrick veterans such as Delete, Tangent, Known Rebel, EVS and head honcho Atiq.
And there are some newcomers who have also lined up an EP for the label that will be released somewhere after the compilation. Amongst these artists are Eusebeia, the Indian Aeon Waves and a modular synthesis EP by SB-Six.
There are also some tracks from well known artists like Funckarma with a remix by Legiac , we have Bong-Ra returning to the label under his new darkjazz guise The thing With Five Eyes and The Travel aka Deformer from which we released his debut album Nyctophobia earlier this year.
Frequencies OF The Mind III will be released on digipack cd and digitally on the 21st of September 2016 and can be found in our SHOP

So we are back again with another fine release! This time we have a new album by Mike Redman which some of you know from the Deformer project.
The album is under his new alias “The Travel”.
So whats up?!
Mike Redman is a busy man. The renowned filmmaker, visual artist and record producer
keeps himself occupied at all times. While his recently well received ‘Voodoom’ project (a collaboration between Bong-Ra and Redman’s Deformer) is still hot out the oven, he already has a new project to his name: ‘The Travel’.
Redman introduced the audience to The Travel a few years ago when a track was featured on the ‘Songs of charcoal’ compilation.
Now a whole album will be released in September.
Where Redman usually arouses international crowds with Deformer’s electronic violence, The Travel goes in depth with dark, at times oppressive and claustrophobic tracks with a high content of movie soundtrack influence. A direct result is that some tracks are already adopted by several American filmmakers. ‘Oppressive’ would make a great sub-genre for music like this. The tracks are musical fever dreams on transit and seem to struggle to stay on the right path. The album title is fitting:
Nyctophobia, which includes fear of darkness. With The Travel, live instrumentation engages dialogue with Redman’s productional skills and ominous sound design thickened with ‘found sounds’. Nyctophobia generates images when you listen to it and takes you on a journey through darkness…
Equally striking is the stunning artwork created by legendary Grammy winner and founder of Living Colour, Vernon Reid
Background information about Mike Redman.
Santa Sangre described the album as: “To call this merely music misses the point entirely. I don’t quite know what you’d file this as. The beast certainly knows how to groove and our author employs his skills behind the mixing console to conjure up a bizarrely fascinating environment for our ears to wander about in.”
Sounds legit to our ears
So check it out!

Samuele Daccò is the man behind Rlyeh1 and is born and bred in Milan (Italy) and now spending his days in Vienna (Austria).
As a former SAE student he picked up the craft of making electronic music very well which resulted in his début album “The Grey Lights”
Not only his favourite artists influenced him (Burial, Amon Tobin, Aphex Twin and many more) but also other forms of art, literature and cinema contribute to his uncommon style, which can be heard on his first album: The Grey Lights.
His relentless work includes all the basic musical elements, which make Samuele’s music unique: he clearly intends to create sound which is outside of specific music genres. His music is about research and experimentation, exploration of sound and highly imaginative. The Grey Lights is the best proof of this – and it is only the beginning.
This EP will be released on the 16th of August 2015 on our bandcamp page and digitally through Itunes, Junodigital, Beatport and all other platforms.
